How we check listings
Where to Sauna is an independent guide to public saunas in the UK. It isn't owned by a sauna, a booking platform or a spa group, and no venue pays to change what its listing says.
Why it exists
Sauna prices, plunge temperatures and session rules are scattered across dozens of booking pages. We put them side by side so you can compare before you book.
Where the information comes from
For each sauna we read the venue's own website first: location pages, price lists and booking pages. When a venue's site doesn't publish something, we use a named, recent source such as Time Out or a local publication, and link to it on the listing. We also ask venues to confirm their details; listings they've confirmed are marked.
How we use software and AI
We use software, including AI tools, to find new saunas, read venue pages and draft listings. A listing only goes live when every detail on it can be traced to a source linked on that page. The comparisons on each page, like how a price ranks across London, are calculated from our own dataset, not written by hand.
What every listing shows
- The date we last checked it.
- Links to every source we used.
- Only details we could find written down. If a venue doesn't publish its plunge temperature, we say so rather than guess.
Reviews and visitor notes
We don't copy reviews from Google, Reddit or social media. Visitor notes on this site come from people who send them to us directly, and we say who sent them if they want credit.
How often we re-check
We re-check prices and opening times regularly, and straight away when a venue or visitor tells us something has changed.
Corrections
Email hello@wheretosauna.co.uk with the venue name and what's wrong. Venue owners can send updated prices, photos and session details.
